Joseph V. Ambrose
Deputy for Administration
Mr. Ambrose has worked in the non-profit world for over 20 years. Mr. Ambrose graduated from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Mr. Ambrose began his non-profit employment working in the finance office of the Beth Israel Medical Center’s DOCS affiliates located throughout Westchester County, NY. Mr. Ambrose and family relocated to Columbia County in 2002 at which time he was hired to work at Berkshire Farm Center in Canaan, NY as an Assistant Controller. Mr. Ambrose eventually was promoted to Controller, working closely with the Board of Supervisors for several years during which time the agency went through many struggles including the hiring of a new president.
For the past 8 years Mr. Ambrose has been the Deputy for Administration for the Columbia County Department of Human Services. In his role as Deputy, Mr. Ambrose brought his passion for improving the quality of care to those in the community while working to ensure tax payer dollars are put to their best use with an eye towards eliminating wasteful spending.
